If you have always wanted a German Fire Department shoulder patch for your collection, look no further. A friend of mine and a member of this department designed this patch for it's members. I was able to visit this firehouse and attend training with it's members. Bergen / Dumme is located in Northern Germany, South of the city of Hamburg, and consist of a single firehouse. The entire county only has Volunteer Fire Departments.
The patch itself measures 4" X 3.25" in the shape of a crest with a lion in the center. Very common design for German fire departments. Below is the translation for what is on the patch.
